5g Network Launch - the Next Generation Communication
Next generation mobile communication
The 5G communication technology is about to arrive as a reality and a game-changer in the communication technology networks. It is all about very high-speed data networks and communication including the Internet. It will be the next-generation mobile communication on an international platform.
Things are gearing up for transformation for the quick take-off of the 5G communication infrastructure. Most of the previous communication transmission infrastructure has to be upgraded to suit the requirements of 5G. It is time now for the logistics providers and technology stakeholders to get ready to set it for a go.
The technology
It is based on 30 to a 300-millimetre wave of radiofrequency and operating and connecting different frequency applications simultaneously. These communications will be capable of connecting not only different technology devices but also complex tasks such as security scanners, radars, driverless automobiles, medical equipment, etc. It is not only for mobile devices but also for the related devices and machinery, including surgery equipment with precision operations.
Attributes of networking
High data speed, large data volume, instantaneous response time are the specialities. As usual, the citizens and social activists are of the opinion that varied frequency and high-intensity frequencies in millimetre-scale would cause health problems in living beings. Already in the 3G and 4G connectivity itself, electro magnetc, as well as mild non-ionising radiations, were of the issues of concern. Living amidst multiple mobile towers was compared to a microwave oven on a bigger frame by the social activists. In fact, the data security, safety and related features are now under the scanner.
While adopting latest technology, remember the value of life
Now the global community must decide that it would use the technology more to increase the family and personal relationships, than spending a worthless virtual illusionary life.
History of mobile networks
The Internet had begun with a purpose for military communication. Now it has reached almost every homes.
- First Mobile communication signals started by NTT in 1979.
- 2G or second-generation on GSM platform was initiated in 1991 at Finland.
- The 3g mobile data communication was started in 1999 in UMTS and GPRS platforms in china. Later, CDMA and WiMax were added in 2007.
- The 4G LTE internet telephone communications were introduced in 2009 in Stockholm. This was characteristic with 1 Gbit/s data speed.
- The 5G is expected to be commercial by 2020 in Australia. Russia, China, Korea and Germany are also competing to be first in the 5G launch.
The next-generation technology is going to result in hi-tech mobility, including mobility of integrated kitchen, office and infotainment.
Expectations of the 5G Technology functions
- Speedy mobile communication with much low latency.
- Precision remote-controlled devices
- Data costs will become cheaper resulting in massive multimedia video flows.
- Up to 20 Gbps data transmission.
- Seamless international roaming.
- Vehicle to Vehicle (VtoV), Vehicle to everything (VtoX) and Vehicle to Infrastructure (VtoI)communications will be the reality.
Expected outcomes
As a result of the initiation of 5G technology, the data volume is expected to rise 100-times than 4G. Unified computer, TV, mobile, radio-related operations will be integrated on a single platform. This would be referred to as the Internet of Things (IoT).
A 5G slicing to create LAN and WAN type of communications will be useful for organisational and corporate communications. The latency of one millisecond is near real-time in the next generation communication (5G).
E-wastes
Every technology revolution must be carried out with environmental sustainability perspective. The upgradation of existing communication to 5G infrastructure, changes in technology gadgets, starting from handheld smart devices to smart machines and devices to coherently work on integration with the 5G devices is going to create the bulk of e-wastes. Unless properly managed e-wastes are a big threat to life on earth.
Competition is already on
Technology giants such as Verizon, AT&T, Nokia, Samsung, Huawei, Ericsson, Telstra, etc. are competing for technology leadership. Cloud computing and data warehousing server platforms will have to be expanded 1000 times to seamlessly store and retrieve data.
Realme, Vivo and Xiaomi, Huawei are already in the queue of launching their mobile phones before the launch of the technology. That shows, how the companies are confident over the consumer power demand for the next-generation technology.
Endnote
Technology revolution and social revolution are mutually inclusive. Techno savvy consumers are on the tip of their toes to accept whatever comes new in the market. This is the century of Internet communication of data to the global community.
