Tomb Raider Find A Way Down to the Survivors' Camp

Updated on March 22, 2013

Tomb Raider Find A Way Down to the Survivors’ Camp

In Tomb Raider, Lara is distraught when her mentor perishes on the island. She needs a moment alone, and then she must make her way down to the survivors' camp. This will take Lara out of the forest and through the wolf’s cave to the gondolier transport system. From there, it’s a battle against gravity and the enemies as Lara half-falls and half-battles her way down to the survivors' camp. Then it’s a rare idyllic moment on the island as Lara has a chance to explore the area around the survivors’ camp. This will guide Lara as she tries to find a way down to the camp.

Tomb Raider Exit the Forest Through the Wolf Cave

Lara will finish her rest at the nearby base camp and then enter the dark forest and attempt to find the next camp – the Hunting Lodge camp. There is a secret tomb (stormguard sanctum) near this camp.

This is A Moment Alone quest. The best way to get past this area is to use stealth. Switch bow, handgun and commando rifle (if Lara has already modified these weapons by this stage) to silent mode using silent arrows or silencer. Use the cover around the forest and prowl around, taking out the men one at a time from stealth positions until all are defeated. Then go to the hunting lodge camp and rest up.

Now head to the entrance to the wolf cave and take out the men here from stealth positions. One way is to distract some of the men and then shoot arrows from underneath the small rock outcropping just beneath the men.

Enter the wolf cave and exit the cave by using the rope arrow to hit the deer carcass to move the bar in front of Lara so that she can use this as a swing to hurl herself onto the far side of the cave. Exit the cave and reach the gondolier transport system.

Tomb Raider Find A Way Down to the Beach

Lara will now face another battle against gravity as she tries to find a way down to the shipwrecked beach. The is the Fast Way Down quest. First, the gondolier transport system will be working fine. Not surprisingly, it then stops working. It’s time to use gravity to accelerate Lara’s path downwards. Use the rope arrow to create a zipline to the stationary gondolier platform and then slide down. Then find a way to a long stairs and climb up. Use another zipline to slide down to another platform. This is the platform where Lara will be ambushed by the enemies. Use old and new tactics to defeat the enemies and then watch as a mad enemy uses the mounted gun to create a vertical platform. Lara will hang on for dear life. Climb up to the top of the vertical platform and drop down to a narrow ledge. Run past and jump to grab the horizontal ladder. Watch as Lara keeps dropping further and further down the gondolier transport system. Then use the system of ropes and ziplines to activate a fast way down to the beach.

After transversing ziplines, water rapids and metal slides, Lara will reach the bottom and make her way to the survivors’ camp.

Then it's time to obtain the stylish bow.
