Borderlands 2 Defeat the Warrior

In Borderlands 2, the hero closes in on his ultimate goal on Pandora - defeating Handsome Jack and preventing the warrior from being released. However, he cannot stop the recharge of the warrior by Lilith using eridium, and the warrior awakens. The hero must now defeat the warrior. This will guide the hero on how to get to Hero's Pass and how to defeat Handsome Jack and the warrior.

Get to Hero's Pass

From the previous mission, the hero learns that Handsome Jack has brought Lilith to Hero's Pass. Before embarking on these final series of missions in Borderlands 2, make sure the hero is at least level 28 and brings the following weapons to Hero's Pass-

  • a really good corrosive sniper weapon
  • the Bane, if the hero has found this
  • a rocket launcher with the ability to deal at least 10000 plus points of damage
  • the Wave shotgun, or an alternative shotgun that can deal lots of damage
  • shock type sniper rifle with good damage
  • backup pistol and SMG type weapons
  • corrosive grenades
  • shields, relics and hero buffs that max out health and health regeneration

The hero must enter the Eridium Blight and head towards Hero's Pass and the Vault of the Warrior. Grab a vehicle and follow the map to the point where the hero cannot get any further with the use of a vehicle. Alight and enter Hero's Pass. This is the God of Talon quest.

Fight through tons of loaders and Hyperion troops to get through to the Vault of the Warrior. Initially, Claptrap will meet the hero at the gates. Later, Brick and Mordecai will join the hero midpoint into the fight. If the hero intends to finish this the first time round, do not quit the game. Instead, allow Brick to pave a path to the first constructor. Brick will be knocked out of the fight before the first constructor. Use the rocket launcher to eliminate the constructor, and move on. Fight through more loaders and Hyperion troops and finally arrive at the second (badass) constructor. Defeat it and move into the Vault of the Warrior.

Borderlands 2 Defeat Jack

The first part of the vault of the warrior fight is to defeat Jack. This is the easy part of the fight. Jack will have lots of doubles. What the hero needs to do is to identify the high arch like stone structure (from which the warrior will later emerge). Go to the top of the structure. Jack does not appear to want to follow the hero there. Use sniper weapons to eliminate Jack's doubles. They disappear when hit. The only Jack that does not disappear is the real Jack. Run down from the stone structure and chase after the real Jack. When within striking range, unleash the powerful rocket launcher a few times, and Jack will be defeated.

Or at least mortally wounded but not just defeated yet, as Jack summons Lilith's shield around him and then calls forth the warrior.

Borderlands 2 Defeat the Warrior

The warrior is a formidable foe, but it is possible to defeat him. First reload with ammunition by respawning at the Vault of the Warrior fast travel point. Now from this fast travel point, gingerly move towards the entrance of the fight with the warrior. Look down and see a crevice that the hero can jump onto. From this crevice, the warrior cannot really touch the hero, and the lava river that the warrior creates occasionally cannot harm the hero.

From this vantage point, simply use all the above weapons and just keep firing at the warrior. It is very likely that the hero will run out of ammunition. In this case, when the warrior is moving away from the hero, jump down and restock on the ammunition at the Hyperion digitization point and then run back to the crevice and vantage position. Continue firing at the warrior until it is defeated.

Show no mercy. Strike down Jack's shield and then put Jack down.

Congratulations! The hero has defeated Handsome Jack, the Warrior and saved Pandora. Till the next borderlands 2 DLC and borderlands 3.........
