Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Defeat Mistral
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Defeat Mistral
In Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, Raiden will have to defeat Mistral to move on in the game. Mistral is the boss at the end of Chapter 1, otherwise known as File R-01: Coup d'Etat. Mistral is a cyborg with augmented equipment on her back. She is able to fit multiple arms onto the back and then use them as extra weapons to defeat Raiden. Mistral will also fit some extra arms together to produce Mistral’s polearm. This will guide the hero on how to defeat Mistral.
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Tactics Used by Mistral
In addition to the above augments, Mistral will use various tactics to undermine the hero. First, she will swipe at the hero using her multiple arms. Next, she is able to use the very long polearm and prevent the hero from going in a straight line to attack Raiden. She also has an “army” of three arm spherical cyborgs which will pester the hero by attacking him at an angle whilst he is trying to concentrate on Raiden. When Mistral’s health drops to a certain level, she will jump to higher ground and shower Raiden with explosives and cyborgs.
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Tactics to Defeat Mistral
To defeat Mistral, the hero needs to circumvent Mistral’s tactics and attack Mistral at angles where she cannot defend herself with her multiple arms. To do this, Raiden needs to use ninja run and run around the grounds. In this way, Mistral cannot aim at Raiden accurately and attack him. When Raiden is near Mistral, just hack at her with his blades. Similarly, when Raiden is anywhere near the three arm spherical cyborgs, just hack at them with his blades. Once the enemies are hit, go into ninja run again and repeat the technique again and again. Using ninja run will also allow the hero to deflect some of Mistral’s attacks.
It will take a bit of patience, but Mistral can be defeated using this technique.
Get Mistral's pole-arm "L-Etranger"
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Get Mistral's Polearm
Defeating Mistral will yield the following rewards for the hero -
- ending Chapter 1
- Mistral's polearm - pole-arm "L'Etranger"
L'Etranger is a superb weapon. Like how Mistral can use the weapon to hold off the hero and attack the hero from far, Raiden can now use Mistral's polearm and do the same against his enemies.
To equip L'Etranger, go to the customize section and use BP to purchase L'Etranger. Then equip L'Etranger. Special moves can be used with L'Etranger, but they require more BP to unlock.
The cool thing about L'Etranger is that when it is combined with Raiden's other attacks, the combos are a beauty to watch.
