Dead Space 3 Chapter 11 Signal Hunting

In Dead Space 3, the hero arrives at the specimen facility excavation site proper and begins his task in signal hunting for the marker machine that will explain the mystery behind the necromorph plague. Here he must go to the second warehouse and get a probe weapon or scientific instrument that can be used to find the machine. This will guide the hero one how to restart the furnace, adjust the heat settings and then find the three probes required to create the probe weapon.

From the weapons bench in the specimen facility, head down the corridor until the exit is reached. The hero will descend into a room with a suit kiosk. There will be a golden archaeology suit available if Isaac wants to change into it.

Next, find the exit in this room and head out to snowy weather. When the hero arrives outside, turn around and extract a battery from the cell using kinesis. Now move forwards until the hero reaches a half open door and push the battery through it. Isaac may have to shoot past some necromorphs in this area. Then find a ladder and climb it to get to the upper level. Defeat more necromorphs and come down into the interior of the room with the half open door. Use kinesis to put the battery cell into the box and power up the cabin. Activate the furnace engine and then use the now functioning door to exit and return to the corridor with the steam turbine controls.

Isaac must now adjust the heat setting of the furnace. To do this, head down to the corridor where there are four rotatable levers. Activate the heating controls. Rotate one lever with kinesis and watch for the lit number above the four controls. The one that lights up should be the one to activate next. The key is to activate the next control and increase the percentage until the heat setting is correct.

Next, Isaac must head back out of the specimen facility and go out to find a lift that will take him down to the second warehouse. Isaac will reach the staging yard where he will face the predator like necromorphs that move fast. Clear the staging yard of these monsters and then proceed to the exit.

The hero will arrive at nearly collapsed structure where Isaac will have to find three probe pieces. Find and go down a really long ladder to arrive at the bottom of the structure. There are three paths from the bottom of the ladder. Go left to find the first probe. Go center to find the second probe. To find the third probe, go up the ladder again and then look for a rotatable lever at the top. Use kinesis to rotate it and raise a cage to the top. Go down the ladder and grab the probe from the cage.

With the three probes, head back to the weapons bench and get ready to craft the probe weapon.

However, only one thing stands in the way of Isaac – the giant necromorph returns.

Here’s a summary of how to defeat the giant necromorph.

• Use stasis against the giant necromorph
• Shoot at the three tentacles until they are all gone.
• When the necromorph opens its maw, shoot at the flashing bulb.
• Repeat the process until all three sets of tentacles and all three flashing bulbs at the maw are destroyed.
• The giant necromorph has a habit of lunging at the hero. Use stasis to freeze the necromorph and then run away to create some distance between the necromorph and the hero and repeat the steps above.

When the necromorph is defeated, go back to the weapons bench at the specimen facility and create the probes weapon / scientific equipment.

Now it’s time to probe the giant alien……..
