The Loss of a Free Spirit.
Such Love is a poem of hope that one of the most precious things in life that we can share with another is not lost, or abandoned as a result of the untimely death of that person. The poem ‘Such Love’ was written by Pearldiver, as a tribute to a fellow writer who tragically lost both her daughter and her husband in separate circumstances. It relates to her spirit and strength in getting through the tough times and traveling the cold, long road back from dark days alone.
SomeWayOuttaHere is the pen name of a lady that I consider to be a courageous free spirit, who is experiencing almost as much enjoyment in finding her writer’s voice, as she finds riding the highways, with the wind in her hair, good music and her camera. I have known her through her writing and never had she shown until now, the pain that she has endured for all the time that I have had the chance to call her my friend. I have never met her; but as a poet, I haven’t needed to, to know what attributes and words best define her character. I hope my words fit into her medicine bag, so that they can help her on the days when she feels alone and vulnerable.
To really appreciate the life and strength of this special person, please follow the link to her story ‘California On My Mind’ and I’m sure you will agree that her article provides the very reason why these words just needed to be written. The writing of this poem was also initially motivated by a question asked by ‘sofs’ a fellow poet, who asked what the most desired object one could find is. Though I do not consider love to be an object, I do consider it to be one of the most desired treasures to find. I hope that within this poem, many questions are answered. Please enjoy ‘Such Love’ and if you know someone else who has gone through a similar tragedy, then consider giving them a link to both articles.

Perspective #354
Now I watch my favorite crow fly.
♥ 'Such Love'
Let me reach out to you in a smile
For across our world, a smile can bring warmth to you
Let me touch you, from within a morning mist
And I will feel your beauty here, in everything I do
Let me talk to you, as an autumn leaf does to the wind
For all free spirits, learn love, from breezes passing through
We touch and swirl and then it’s time, to say goodbye
And we do and we will, remember how we kissed
As you flow over jagged, snowy hills, riding on the rain
You are free and always will be, now I watch my wild crows, fly
Let my world be, all wild, tame, harsh and gentle seasons
Peace found riding, coastal shores and vast open plains
Free to love, the morning mists and howling gales, again
Such love made, survives beyond this loss, I tell my heart
Such love never leaves and every day, it's here with you
Such love, such love we made, shall fade but never part
Such love, my love, learned in breezes, passing through...
Such love found, such love lost, such love shared with you
